Britain is Failing Pensioners

Is the UK ‘OK’ for pensioners? In the UK, Scotland suffers…

  • 3rd lowest pensions among the 34 OECD countries
  • Over 2,400 excess winter deaths – double the rate of colder EU countries
  • 49% of pensioner households in fuel poverty

To deal with these shocking problems in Scotland, we will need the full fiscal levers offered to us by independence – allowing us to vastly improve our housing stock, bring our energy sector back into public ownership, and alter our economy for fairer, more sustainable pension provision.

Don’t let the wrong side win the pensioner vote.

Another Scotland is Possible.
