The Truth about the “Protesters”

Aberdeen Against Illegal Migration, the local hotel-shouters, claim to be ‘concerned citizens.’ They insist they’re not racist at all, that they welcome “legal” immigration, that they’re just trying to protect “their” women and children.

In reality, they do nothing to control the violent, racist rhetoric on their pages. They welcome extremists who believe Hitler was right, create videos harassing vulnerable people, and don’t bother trying to hide their hateful views. But don’t take our word for it – you can see for yourself who they really are (click on each item to see relevant photos and screen-shots).

Primary School Protest

On 25th November, 2025, AAIM posted a short video of a Black man arriving at a local community centre. They called a protest for a couple of days later because the community centre is attached to a primary school. Here is a selection of the comments on that post (Click for images).

Filming Harassment

AAIM’s founder saw two non-white men sitting in a local park and videoed himself chasing them out, assuming they were “illegals” and insisting that any men in parks must be paedophiles (even when there are no children around). Here are some of the comments on his video (Click for images).

Other Comments (racism and other hate)

Is this just a couple of bad days? Here is a selection of other comments and memes from across AAIM’s pages and videos, where their hateful views are shared (Click for images).

Threats of Violence

In addition to spouting hate, this group and their followers make threats of violence against whole groups of people (Click for images).

Memes

(Click for images) Of course, hatred and threats can be communicated through images like memes. Here’s a selection from AAIM social media.

Threats Against Critics

It’s not just immigrants they harass and threaten – it’s anyone who disagrees with them. Here are some of the threats they’ve made against groups and specific individuals (Click for images).

Posts and Comments from core AAIM members

You can’t control what people say on their page, right? Here are comments from core members of AAIM, who are celebrated and welcomed at their protests (Click for images).

Actual Nazis

This is supposed to be a bright red line, even for racists and fascists. It is the responsibility of any organiser to reject any Nazis who try to attach themselves to their cause. When the Nazi posts from at least two core members were pointed out to AAIM’s organisers, they chose to continue welcoming them. When counter-protesters held signs saying ‘Nazi scum,’ AAIM accused them of hate crime. But Nazi is not a protected characteristic under the Equality Act (and in fact, White Supremacy is given as an example of a belief system that is NOT protected) (Click for images).

This is who we’re dealing with.
