‘Scottish Solidarity’ Speaking Tour in England

Here are the details of the five events on the Scottish Solidarity Speaking Tour in Yorkshire, Manchester and the Midlands between 29 May and 1 June. It is being organised by branches of Left Unity to debate the issues at stake in the Scottish referendum of 18 September when Scottish voters will decide “Should Scotland be an independent country?”

This tour has been endorsed by, among others, film maker Ken Loach, Green Party of England and Wales deputy leader Will Duckworth, actor Brian Cox and nine Left Unity branches in the Midlands, Yorkshire and the North West.

1) Sheffield: Thursday, 29 May

Cat Boyd of RIC will be questioned by a panel of three people: (1) Liam Conway, chair of Notts Trade Union Council; 2) Dr. Matthew Ashton, political commentator and politics lecturer, Nottingham Trent University; 3) Dr. Claire Jenkins, a LGBT activist.

5) Shipley – Sunday 1 June
